Preparation
These BIO Marshmallow Crunchies offer an innovative combination of crispy granola and soft marshmallows, ideal for the snack market. Their long shelf life and easy portioning make them perfect for retail.
Preparation of BIO Marshmallow Crunchies for 30 servings
- Preparation: Preheat the oven to 150°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Granola Mix: Combine 500g of BIO-Haferflocken Großblatt with 100g of BIO-Rohrohrzucker and a pinch of BIO-Salz, unjodiert (Atlantik Meersalz). Add 50g of BIO-Rosmarin-Extrakt and mix well.
- Baking: Spread the mixture evenly on the baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown. Let it cool.
- Marshmallow Melting: In a large pot, melt 200g of marshmallows* over low heat until they are completely dissolved.
- Making Crunchies: Add the cooled granola mix to the melted marshmallows and mix well.
- Shaping: Press the mixture into a greased mold and let it harden.
- Cutting and Packaging: Once the mixture is firm, cut into even pieces and pack in airtight containers.
Storage: The crunchies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
