Preparation
This BIO Children's Ketchup offers a natural sweetness through apple juice concentrate and avoids artificial additives, making it a healthy alternative on the market.
Preparation of BIO Children's Ketchup for 50 servings
- Prepare tomato base: Add 40 kg of BIO-Tomatenmark 28TS to a large pot and slowly heat over medium heat.
- Add sweetness: Add 8 kg of BIO-Apfelsaftkonzentrat Apfeldicksaft while stirring constantly until it is well mixed.
- Incorporate starch: Dissolve 1 kg of BIO-Maisstärke nativ in some cold water and stir into the tomato mixture to ensure a uniform consistency.
- Season: Add 500 g of BIO-Salz, unjodiert (Atlantik Meersalz) and 200 g of BIO-Pfeffer bunte Mischung geschrotet. Incorporate another 200 g of BIO-Zimt gemahlen for a warm note.
- Add vinegar: Stir in 4 l of BIO-Essig, Tafelessig and let the mixture simmer for 30 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Bottle: Fill the hot ketchup into sterilized bottles and seal immediately. Store in a cool and dark place.
