Is obtained by exclusive heat treatment of native organic corn starch - without the addition of chemical substances. Cold water soluble starch dissolves or swells already in cold water. Boiling is not necessary. This starch is therefore particularly suitable for products where heating of the product during production or at the consumer is not required. This thermally treated corn starch is considered a food ingredient and does not have to be declared with an E-number (= advantage for clean label products). Preparation
These BIO millet bars offer a crispy texture and are versatile as a healthy snack. Their simple production and long shelf life make them ideal for retail.
Preparation of BIO Millet Sticks for 50 Portions
- Preparation: Mix all dry ingredients, including BIO-Hirse Körner goldgelb, BIO-Maisquellstärke kaltquellend, and BIO-Reismehl, in a large mixing bowl.
- Making the dough: Slowly add water and process into a smooth dough. The dough should be soft, but moldable.
- Shaping: Shape the dough into even sticks and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Baking: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20-25 minutes, until the sticks are golden brown and crispy.
- Cooling: After baking, let the sticks cool on a rack to maintain their crispiness.
Important Notes:
- Storage: The millet sticks can be stored in airtight containers for up to 2 weeks.
- Packaging: Ideal for sale in retail packaging or as part of a snack offering.
