Preparation
This recipe offers a unique combination of oat and spelt whole grain flour, giving the pancakes a nutty note and an excellent texture. The use of rice flour makes them particularly light and airy, while at the same time making them suitable for a wide range of diets.
Preparation of Organic Pancakes Oat & Spelt for 20 servings
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine BIO-HAFERvollkornmehl (840g), BIO-DINKELWEIZENmehl (820g) and BIO-Reismehl (200g) together with BIO-Backpulver Reinweinstein (40g).
- Add liquid ingredients: Slowly stir in 1.5 liters of water until a smooth batter is formed. Optionally, BIO-Raps-KERNÖL (100ml) can be added to make the batter smoother.
- Let the batter rest: Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes so that the flour can swell.
- Fry pancakes: Heat a pan over medium heat and lightly grease with BIO-Raps-KERNÖL. Pour about 50ml of batter per pancake into the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve: Serve the pancakes warm. They are excellent as a base for sweet or savory toppings.
